Dear Friends,
I recently read and signed the online petition:
"Residents and property owners requesting Utah legislative support of S.B.25s02 that will abolish the detrimental provisions of H.B.466 and provide a sensible path for incorporation of Utah Towns in the future."
It will diffuse Powder Mountain's ill fated attempt to incorporate as a town in order to circumvent the normal planning process.
The petition is hosted on the web at:

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might
agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider
signing yourself.
Time is of the essence, so please sign ASAP and pass on to your friends and neighbors

While it specifies Powder Mountain, it also applies to several similar cases throughout the state where developers can force residents into their "new town" without a vote - the present law gives them absolutely no choice.
The law, as written allows the new town to create their own planning commission, thus circumventing existing zoning and planning.
Best wishes,
