Any Questions? What happens when we "trust and do not verify" (Continued)

(continued)

Weber County second only to Salt Lake County in revenues from property taxes. Weber School Districts the same?

From the above notice Weber County has six out of ten (60%) of the highest property taxed areas in the State. Weber County has zero (0%) in the lowest taxed areas. Why is this?

Folks it is beyond time to demand from the Weber County Commissioners and the Assessor some accountability. These four (4) people owe us, their constituents, an explanation with facts and data and not more propaganda and spin, their usual "bill of fare".

What have they already spent all our money on?

Why no rebates?

Where has it all gone?

For what?

I am hopeful that the State Revenue and Taxation Interim Committee will step in and mandate Weber County, and indeed all counties who have shown they can not manage public funds efficiently, a major correction to oppressive taxation.

I am hopeful that our legislators have the balls (DID HE Just say balls?) to act. To summon the testosterone shown by the Mayor of North Salt Lake City (ironically a lady) on Wednesday, when the local representatives come in with very likely pathetic and weak kneed pseudo fixes -if any at all.

If not we need to all begin to talk in our own meetings and caucuses about how to use the weapons used against us, into tools which will benefit us;

-Constitutionally mandated (current market value assessments),

-Multiple Listing Services (MLS),

-Non-disclosure secretive nonsense,

-Walking conflict of interest (divided loyalties) legislators,

commissioners, assessors, etc.

-Lobbyists

-Centrally Assessed Properties

-County Assessment and Collection Levy

-School Districts (which already receive virtually all of our income taxes)

-Mosquito Abatement Districts Levy-911 Call Center Districts

-Library taxing entities and Levys

-State wide School Basic Levy

-Local School District Judgment Levy

-Local Water Basin - General Levy

-County Fire District Levy

-County Assessment & Collection/Multi Levy

-EM Serve District Levy

-County Fire General Obligation Bond Levy

-Valley Transalator Levy

-County Health Levy

-General Fund Levy

-General Obligation Bond Fund Levy

-Cemetary Levy

-Elephant toe nail trimming Levy

-Donkey pedicure Levy

-Legislative per diem Levy

-Legislative Staff Levy

-Lobbyists Office Expenses Levy

-Legislative Audit Services Levy

-Legislative Parking Levy

We can and will turn "the system" inward on itself until it crumbles from the incestuous weight of all ponzi schemes and general corruption. I will explain more of this later after consulting with real estate attorneys and Realty Brokers friendly to our collective cause for fairness, honesty and equity.

We will also soon be pushing for a meaningful ethics bill in the legislature. And a law which enables irresponsible and unaccountable "conflicted" legislators, commissioners and assessors to be shown the door by a referendum or petition drive. We simply can not continue to allow this mismanagement and blatant disregard of accountability at the local level or State level to continue.

Somewhere in the ethics legislation there must be some specifics which define malfeasance more clearly. Our legislators (many of them) are completely out of control - taking lobbyist's bribes in the form of trips, dining tours of Boston, Canada, Italy for weeks. The list is appalling and near infinite.

Ethics training and legal prosecution for violations seem the only remedy. The State Attorney General must also be held accountable for enforcement if the Senate and House continue to show an unwillingness to police themselves.

I think we are seeing it played out clearly with this whole property taxation issue.
